Our practice focuses on message strategy development for business-to-business software applications and
Internet infrastructure technologies.
The two principals, Barry Briggs and Lawson Abinanti, apply experience gained from over 33 combined years of technology
consulting and on-the-job experience.
We have worked successfully with companies of all sizes, including Applix, Autodesk, Crystal Decisions,
Epic Data, Excell Data, eConvergent, FRx Software, IBM, Microsoft, Navision, (Outlooksoft), Primus, Visio
(now part of Microsoft) and WordPerfect (now part of Corel).

Barry Briggs
Barry Briggs has been a software marketing professional since 1984. From 1987 to 1991 he worked at Microsoft
where he managed a team of marketing professionals responsible for launching strategic Microsoft products,
including Windows 3.0, SQL Server, Visual Basic, C++, Word for Windows, Flight Simulator, and many others.
A consultant since 1991, Barry works with companies to build customer demand for emerging technologies.
Since 1995 he has focused exclusively on message development and management. His clients have included IBM,
Microsoft, Autodesk, Real Networks, and many other business-to-business and Internet infrastructure providers

Lawson Abinanti
Lawson Abinanti has 15 years of executive management experience in the software industry. As a marketing, sales,
and business development professional, he recognizes the central importance of marketing messages in building
product awareness, consideration, and trial. During his tenure as director of product marketing at Navision Software
a/s, Lawson developed a world-wide message strategy for over 20 Navision products. His previous experience as vice
president for marketing at Timeline and director of marketing at Applix has given him in-depth understanding of the
B2B category. Prior to entering the software industry, Lawson worked as a professional journalist.
